Our story, values, and purpose

Stronger connections. Brighter futures.

The Ohana BRIDGE exists to help families find their way through a complex network of resources, relationships, and opportunities.

Our work is grounded in family voice, community-informed leadership, and Deaf perspectives.

Our Story

The Ohana BRIDGE grew from professional experience as an educational ASL interpreter and a commitment to supporting Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children and their families.

Through work alongside children, families, educators, and community professionals, one challenge became clear: families may encounter many valuable resources, yet still need help understanding which options fit their circumstances and what to do next.

The Ohana BRIDGE was created to strengthen those connections through family-centered navigation, collaboration, and resource coordination.

Built Together as One Ohana

Ohana is more than a family connected by genetics. It includes the people who show up, care for one another, share responsibility, and build meaningful connections. Family can be formed through relationships, community, and mutual commitment.

We believe the strongest bridges are built with a community, not simply for it. Our work begins by listening and grows through collaboration.
